New Irus and Argos Series Modules are Pre-certified to Deliver Security

FREMONT, Calif., February 3, 2007 – AuthenTec (NYSE: AUTH) and Unigen Corp. today announce a new family of biometric modules based on AuthenTec’s AES1510, AES1610, AES2501 and AES2810 fingerprint sensors. Unigen’s new Irus and Argus family offers the smallest module footprint in the industry that fits neatly in embedded applications and also in a sleek USB POD package. The Irus and Argus POD modules are agency pre-certified to speed time-to-market and eliminate the need for costly design and compliance resources. The IRUS and ARGUS family has members that target a wide-range of applications in the PC, automation, medical, industrial, and consumer markets.

The entire IRUS AND ARGUS product family meets all necessary Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) compliance in addition to Industry Canada (IC) certification.
