Job Description:

Equipment Technician will be responsible but not limited to:
o Troubleshooting of equipment/program issues and fault corrections
o Moving and installation of equipment
o Performing repair and preventive maintenance on equipment
o Performing equipment calibration and validation
Job duties may include equipment power and air installation, machine setup, and assisting operators on machine operation.
Equipment will include but not limited to SMT, wave solder, depanelizer (router), PCBA washers, and inspection equipment such as Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI).
Work with production and engineering to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation of work centers to meet production schedules.
May include heavy lifting of machinery parts.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

Either of the following:
o 5 years experience in equipment basic operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, preferably of the following equipment:
• Panasonic and Juki pick/place equipment
• Panasonic and Juki pick/place equipment
• Solder paste inspection equipment, reflow oven, wave soldering, and screen printing equipment
o Completion of 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering field.
Ability to read electrical schematics
Preferred but not required to be proficient in AutoCAD software, or other similar layout CAD tools
Knowledge of safety requirements when performing repair and troubleshooting of equipment
Repairing skills such as soldering and welding
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to write good instructions
Good troubleshooting concept
Proficient with basic applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
